Sroubarna Kyjov has put into practise the system of environmental management according to ISO 14001

(23.6.2009) Sroubarna Kyjov, the significant producer of fasteners in the Czech Republic and  Europe, has put into practise the system of environmental management according to ISO 14001 in June 2009.

The certification audit was carried out by the Lloyd´s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA). The certification ISO 14001 is requested by more and more companies compared to previous years. There was noted the important year–on–year grouth of number of certifications in comparison with the last period. This shows more responsible accession of companies to environment and surrounding area.

The executive director of Sroubarna Kyjov, spol. s r. o., Ing. Frantisek Cervenka comments the importance of certificates: „The certificates ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are very important for us. They are an obligation for our company. Our products, that are part of railway lines, helped to save environment, and as well the process of their production should be environment-friendly. The process of component´s implementation of environment management was started in the middle of the last year and it wasn´t easy at all. Thanks belongs to all workers, who participated in the implementation. But in the next years it would be a lot of work for maintenance and improving of components of environment management system.

The standard ISO 14001, that treats of environment management, obligates the company to make a collection of documents, apply and improve effectiveness all the time. The certificate hold for three years and during which time the company has to pass the regular control audit twice a year.
