Trinecke zelezarny buys Sroubarna Kyjov

(4.5.2008) The German antitrust office has approved the acquisition these days.Trinecke zelezarny will add sophisticated products for the railway industry and for bearings to its line. The company uses materials from Trinecke zelezarny and raises their value added, Tomas Chrenek, chairman of the supervisory boards of Trinecke zelezarny and Moravia Steel, explained.

Sroubarna with 300 staff had CZK 767m sales last year, 75 percent of which came from exports.

Trinecke zelezarny, led by entrepreneur Tomas Chrenek, had a profit around CZK 3.4bn in 2006, and its sales reached CZK 31.7bn. Estimates show that last year's sales should be even 10 percent higher.
